It’s been a while since we added any new functionality to the Ratings but there’s a few changes ahead.

For the greyhound subscribers, they have already had access to the Predictor which consistently strikes around 25-30% of winners.

So how could we make it better?  It can take a bit of time to do the form on 24 races (there’s been up to 30 races some days since the restart).  That can take a lot of time.

What the Analyzer does is remove all that time and allow you to drill down into the races where there’s likely to be better chances and hopefully better value.

You select three parameters:

  • date
  • metric (only the Predictor at present but I’ll add an option to query box speed soon)
  • the differential (the difference between the top rated and the next best)

There’s currently four options for the differential – 5, 10, 15 and 20 ratings points.

The live report from today’s races is shown used the Predictor and a differential of 10+ points.  Four runners met that criteria at Cambridge and all four won with Does He Exist paying $9.00 to win on the tote.
