It’s back to almost normal with Palmerston North greyhounds on a Monday.  Just the one meeting with 12 races, after an outstanding meeting at Manukau yesterday.

The Silver Collar was a race worth the price of admission on its own – Shooters Hill almost caused the upset but if you check out the sectionals from the heats, you’ll see that the second dog in the Collar actually had the second best closing sectional of the runners in the field.

Anyway, back to Palmerston.  For once our lay of the day refused to lay down but we got our best bet up and I suspect the bookies took a bit of a hiding too opening Queen Big League at $2.90.  Our value bet had a rough start but still managed a nice third.
