Matamata Makes Members Money

Nothing like a bit of alliteration for a heading when you haven’t got anything better – but hopefully members were up after a potentially tough day at Matamata.

As the winter racing approaches, it’s a reminder who valuable the ratings can be in sorting out winners.  The ratings bookended the day – everyone was on the winner in the first but Sarabande in the last was clearly top rated and paid a tasty $14 on the tote.

Highlights of the day included top rated 4 winners:

• Race 1 Dance Card – $1.70
• Race 3 Fold Dress (top equal rated) – $3.60
• Race 5 Willpower – $3.90
• Race 9 Sarabande – $14.30

Bravissimo in race 4 managed 4th but that was more than enough for the head to head to seal Neil’s multi of the day.
