Another tough day of racing at Avondale and New Plymouth but some subscribers will have come out the other end with a smile on their face thanks to Batchelor Babe in race 6 at New Plymouth.
It was another day where it was tough going for horses trying to make ground from the back but a daring ride from Wiremu Pinn was the winning of the race. The Babe mapped to lead and did exactly that making it a real contest. She wouldn’t have wanted it be over 1801m but she managed to hang on in the closest of finishes with an unlucky High Quality.
Batchelor Babe was also topped rated so the $21FF on offer was extremely good money.
